Saturday evening

I was talking a few days ago about the awful weather. Well all of a sudden it's summer. The last two days have been glorious and so I have tried to take advantage (in case it changes again) and have been swimming. Well I say swimming, I really mean floating, which I'm very good at but I think the actual swimming will come, sooner rather than later. Denise and I went to the leisure centre at Haden Hill. I hadn't been there for years, in fact not since I took my two boys for lessons, which they both failed abismally. It was good, Denise is a great swimmer, she dives and does handstands under water and she actually got me standing up from off my back, which until today I could no way accomplish, and so I shall certainly be going again a.s.a.p.
I had a visit from someone special this morning, he is really Stu and Erics friend but he has been like a third son to me since Eric died, he is another Rob. We usually have a laugh and I talk him to death, which he doesn't seem to mind, for a couple of hours. He bought me a little cactus plant a few months ago and I was able to show him two tiny flowers just coming into bud on it today. I have had lots of cactus plants over the years but never had one flower, so I am expecting great things from this one. If it doesn't it will go the same way as all the others, in the bin. No I don't mean that as this one was a present. I only hope I don't kill it with kindness as I think I have done with all the others I have had. I watched the second part of the Dr. Who two parter that started last week. I think it was definately the best to date, but I love all the episodes but maybe this one was just that little bit better as it was so different from the others in this series. I read on the net the other day that there would be no more after the fourth series and I am really sad abot that. I hope that they have so many letters complaining that they change their minds and carry on making them. Love for now Rob (my boy) as I know you read all my blogs on your phone. x x
